About Us

Hello! My name is August Easton, and I founded Access to Assessment because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to understand how they learn.

Too many students struggle in school not because they lack intelligence or potential, but because they have never had access to the evaluations that could identify a learning disability and connect them with the support they need. For many families, the cost or lack of knowledge about getting a neuropsychological evaluation or other educational testing creates a barrier that delays or prevents students from receiving the accommodations and resources that can make a meaningful difference. When students are repeatedly told they are "bad" at a subject without understanding why, it can be discouraging and deeply affect their confidence. Every student deserves the chance to learn in a way that allows them to succeed. Access to Assessment was created to help remove those barriers. Through fundraising, educational resources, and partnerships with evaluation providers, our goal is to expand access to neuropsychological evaluations so that more students can receive the support they deserve. We believe that understanding how you learn is the first step toward reaching your full potential.

Mission statement

Access to Assessment is a student-led initiative working to reduce financial barriers to evaluations by raising funds, connecting families with resources, and increasing awareness about the importance of early identification.
